Please show your appreciation for my two favourites at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards below.

In this glittering tulle masterpiece by Marchesa, Halle Berry looks absolutly Stunning! Everything was perfect, her jewellery was suble to compliment her detailed dress. 10 points!

Camilla Alves looked stunning in this Kaufman Franco black gown, with plunging necklace, and the gorgeous centre parted bun hair do was most definatly on trend, she looked every bit a red carpet goddess!

Fashion for Film- Desperately Seeking Susan

Every woman had thought about it: Why can't I wear this bra in public?

From black dresses paired with leggings to men's trousers with uncovered lacy bras to rhinestone boots to even men's briefs, beads, crosses, bracelets and a whole load of bleached out hair! Madonna was so super sexy and daring, it's not even needed to point out what a sensation she became, since an entire expression was invented for her squad of impersonates: "Madonna-wanna-be."

I watched this film on Saturday night and really enjoyed the fashion that was shown, it really inspired me! I wasn't too sure on the story line, but Madonna played a great fashion icon, my favourite item being the studded boots and the iconic Pyramid jacket designed by Santo Loquasto, worn by Madonna's Character Susan as seen below.

This movie is definitely for all 80s fashion lovers- Check it out if not seen already!

Can I show my appreciation and utter love for this Stella McCartney Citrus print skirt! I am in love with this creation, this piece somewhat reminds me of the lickable wall paper from Charlie and the chocolate factory with a hint of an optical illusion. I am fascinated, This could easily be teamed with a basic nude vest and  heels. So delicious!

Let the fruit do the talking!

Happy 90th birthday Gucci!

Happy Birthday Gucci

The house of Gucci turns 90 today !, it may have presented the world with such icons as the bamboo top handle bag, the Jackie, interlocking GG's and snaffle bit loafers, but my love for Gucci and my earliest friendship started at the tender age of 15 as I remember my very first pair of Gucci trainers with the iconic red and green stripe a signifier of Gucci’s strong equestrian roots, I had a matching GG Belt bag, How cool was I....;)

Gucci, located in Florence, was founded in 1923 by Guccio Gucci, which has been the most largest Italian fashion group today. Besides fashion clothing, Gucci is also involved in designing handbags, shoes, watches, home accessories, pet supplies, scarves, neckties, perfumes and so on!

During late 40's to 60's in last century, Gucci has promoted a string of classic products such as the bamboo handle bag, horsebit loafers and printed scarves. All Gucci products are made from the finest materials, which has helped Gucci win many fans throughout the years from many celebrities such as Jacqueline Kennedy, Sophia Loren, to name a few. Well done Gucci I say, for creating such beautiful timeless elegant pieces, congratulations on your birthday!

A little bit of intresting reading for you!
The Horsebit-

The horsebit was first written into Gucci’s vocabulary in the Fifties, when it was used on heavy tan leather saddle-stitched handbags. Since then, the horsebit has been both miniaturised and maximised as hardware; luxuriously schemed into embossed or burned-out surfaces on leather suede and velvet; turned into repeat patterns printed on silk and sculpted into the components of precious jewellery.

Sass & Bide A/W '11

How gorgeous is the Sass & Bide collection that was delivered on the first day of London Fashion week, this incredible Australian duo unveiled their collection, named “Boogie and the History maker” which centers on tribal prints accentuating with sequins, feather prints, fringed hems and tie-dye kaftan's. The accessories also infuses the “Tribalness” with feathered necklaces and roped piping. This collection is so rich in colour! I love love love the rich burnt orange filtered within the collection.

60s Twist! - Makeup

60s Twist

Hey all! This week I have finished one of my assessments for my makeup course and yay… I got a distinction!

I am fascinated with 60s makeup and style so I thought I would create a pretty seductive 60s eye on my good friend Samantha!

As you can see she looked completely gorgeous with her hair up in a back combed twist, her makeup looked pretty and the Shu Emura False Lashes were amazing, they were thick black with feathers which drew all the attention to her pretty eyes and complimented her nude lips perfectly; she even had a gorgeous little black and white tea dress on… Perfect!

However… I find fault with everything so there would be many things I would have changed and improved on, for instance the 60s flick, could have been better; I guess its something that comes with experience and practice! One shall carry keep on trying!

Have a look at the gorgeous Sam below! Xx

Superb! X

Dress of the Week- Tadashi Shoji

Kelly Osbourne's dress at the Annual Grammy Awards was my favourite dress! I am in love with this gorgeous Tadashi Shoji one-shoulder dress and Alexander McQueen shoes!

Tadashi Shoji recently revealed it's newest collection at New York Fashion Week. Tadashi Shoji's Fall 2011 collection, was inspired by the ancient moss gardens of the Far East, and I think this dress is a sprinkle of temptation for the Stunning collection as seen below, with the master of creation himself.

Chartreuse... Colour trend 2011

I'm in love with Chartreuse at the minute, an intimidating colour to wear but when done right can be a tasteful hue to prance around in! This rich sophisticated colour is a mixture of green and yellow and has made a gracious come back appearing on the Spring 2011 runway shows.

I recently purchased the below blouse from ASOS.COM to wear with my black sequin mini, and I think the rich colour compliments well with the black and the gold jewelery I matched with the outfit.

Take an adventure this season and invest in a chartreuse piece, whether it's a top, dress, or handbag or even nail colour.
