Welcome Back!
I do apologise for my lack of posts over the Christmas period, I have been without a laptop or computer while away in a sub tropical climate of Costa Adeje!, major SAD Syndrome has now kicked in as I am back to work, and the depressing over kill of Christmas decorations has finally been put to rest (Though the chocolates are lingering around the office)... And I must admit the atmosphere is pretty dire.
I hope you all had a fabulous festive season, and I hope this New Year brings you all lots of Happiness and Joy! New ideas, goals, and inspirations to think about, not forgetting your NEW YEARS RESOLUTION, Me- to get a fashion job, work hard until I do, and see my old Friends more. Whats yours?
I am pretty behind on my fashion thoughts, (Still getting over holiday mode and a drizzly nose- Sorry) So I will be doing my weekly research of fashion over the next few days and hopefully give you all some insight later in the week...Thought one word... STACKED HEELS, Have you seen the PRADA ones? Sigh....

Vintage Glamour has come back into the club scene with the effect of “Burlesque” you have more than likely seen the film reviews and adverts for the film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher everywhere, this rise in the fascination for Burlesque clubs and desiring lust to release your inner womanliness with the added delights of nipple tassels and gorgeous lingerie is making women look twice… not only can it bring personal confidence, it also promotes that women are beautiful in every way… plus the outfits are pretty special too…
The foremost importance to being a burlesque performer is having no rules, no conforming to conventional dance routines, a burlesque performer can be an individual, dance to the music and tell a story in her own personal way.
Three years ago, people would never have even heard of the word “Burlesque” But the appeal for it around the world… especially seen in London where I live… is huge… Dance studios now offer classes for women to release there inner gorgeousness and the huge appeal for Men and Women to visit clubs such as Proud Cabaret in London.
I am a huge fan of Dita Von Teese, I think she is absolutely gorgeous, and the fact that she does all her own makeup and styling her self… amazes me… I find her a true inspiration for women.
My view on Burlesque? I love it, I think it’s classy and spectacular; I enjoy the idea of being sensual through dance, and the added bonus of gorgeous clothes and vintage makeup, However a lot of people would disagree, and I can see reason in this, Burlesque isn’t for everybody, some people may find it to risqué, but for me, and for many women (and men unsurprisingly) it’s a fantastic way to promote the absolute gorgeousness of a women… and for me that’s something to be Proud of.

Le Freak...
Well you probably all know by now I am obsessed with the 1970s Disco era, everything from the fashion to the music and the actual love for dancing moves me into some kind of out of body experience…I have a slight obsession and a little resentment to actually not being apart of it 30 years ago, with every disco album filling my IPod my days are satisfied with the sound of deep 70s soul… which makes these cold winter days a lot more blissful.
So the main reason for this repeating disco themed post is the enthusiasm to arrange a 70s party for my 23rd birthday party… Yep… I no, it’s a bit of a random one… but on my 21st I didn’t want a party… and now I’m quite saddened by the thought…
I am thinking studio 54 themed space, filled with disco balls, obviously not real ones… and bright disco lights… possible a disco lit dance floor… (How cool would that be…? (John Travolta eat your heart out)
The dress code will be strict, and the music too… I want it to feel like who ever attends will be walking back in time… back into a 70s club, the music, the food the drink the cocktail sticks, EVERYTHING… and that includes the fashion… (Unfortunately smoking outside will be compulsory… Law of the Country I'm afraid… so no smoke filled rooms for added effect)
Everyone will have to be dressed in theme… Full length Maxi Dresses, mini dresses, lame tops, Lycra playsuits big hair, big earrings, fabric bodices and exotic sleeves, think Bianca Jagger. Men on the other hand… think John Travolta… and you are most certainly there.
Well… one must crack on with the Planning!
